在the Exorcist的official site中，導演有一段談音效的部分，
講到一部片，以及他如何找到那位墨西哥農夫來做音效：
Friedkin tracked down a little known sound artist whose
work he had stumbled upon in Alexandro Jodorowsky's
acclaimed cult movie EL TOPO to further enhance the sounds
of the exorcism.
"That film had the greatest soundtrack I had ever heard,"
Friedkin enthuses. "I saw it at a midnight screening while I
was preparing THE EXORCIST and I said to associate
producer David Salven, 'Find out who did that sound, it's just
unbelievable'. He did some research on this film which was
made in Mexico, and came up with a guy named Gonzalo
Gavira. He was sort of a barefoot Mexican peasant who used
only natural objects to achieve sound effects.
就是第一段中提到的Alexandro Jodorowsky和他1971年
的片子「El Topo」。
Jodorowsky出生於智利，老爸是俄國人，老媽是阿根廷人，
到巴黎後和馬歇馬叟學過默劇，成名在歐洲。
他除了是知名導演之外，也是著名的漫畫編劇家，
合作的對象包括Mobius和Gimez等歐洲名漫畫家。
時報出的那本「貓之眼」，同名的短篇就是他寫的劇本。
其他像「The Incal」和描寫情慾的「Angel Claw」也是他寫的。
那部「El Topo」英文片名叫做「The Gopher」或是「The Mole」，
主角El Topo和兒子就是由導演父子下海親自演出，
據說是部經典的western cult movie，充滿隱喻、暴力、一見難忘的意像。
現在又被Friedkin說他的音效這麼棒，更讓人想看。
有人看過這部片嗎？只有英國的網站有賣錄影帶。
然後勒，這位Jodorowsky還是位研究Tarot 40年的專家，
最近才和馬賽一位印製Tarot的老師傅將the Tarot of Marseilles修復重印。
